Meet our CEO & Founder
Xizza Satterfield is not your typical CEO. With a genuine passion for making a difference, her journey to the top has been marked by hard work, perseverance, and the relentless pursuit of her dreams to address challenges in the healthcare field, such as the quality and continuity of care impacted by staffing shortages.
She knows from experience what it’s like to work in the healthcare field – both on the floor and within staffing management. Beginning her career as a CNA, she worked in hospitals and long-term care facilities before becoming a QMA and, eventually, a staffing coordinator. Throughout these years, she fell in love working with the patients of long-term facilities but saw firsthand how the residents were negatively affected by the staffing shortage. Unfortunately, burnout led to poor quality of care.
Through sheer determination, Xizza has disrupted the healthcare staffing space. With support from her husband, Ryan Satterfield, the COO & Co-Founder of EXAR, she pursued her Master’s degree in both Business (MBA) and Leadership and Management (MSML). With her educational background, supportive husband, and passion to address the staffing shortage that affected the quality and continuity of care, EXAR Healthcare Staffing Agency was founded.
She understands the challenges and aspirations of her healthcare staff and clients, having walked in their shoes – including the scheduling and staffing responsibilities to ensure continuity of care is not disrupted, and the staffing ratios comply with the state mandate. Regarding leadership, Xizza believes in fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication. When different views are shared, sometimes the best ideas are born.
As EXAR continues to thrive under Xizza’s guidance, she is not just leading a company but building a community transforming lives in the healthcare industry through top-talent staffing solutions.
